Rare example of a crane resting on a floating pontoon fully functional after the restoration.Built in Germany in Bremerhaven in 1915 at the behest of the German navy.
Survived two world wars, becoming an important witness not only historical military events of his country of origin, but also a good example interesting technological evolution of last century.In 2002, he is bound by the Ministry for Arts and Cultural Affairs as a Monument of Industrial Archeology
Some technical data to show the majesty and magnitude of the Langer Heinrich
The deck of the crane has an extension of m 50 xm 30, the height of the crane is 84 m with the arm up and 56 with the boom down, raises up at 250 Tons and the has ability to rotate 360 degrees.
At the current state of research on Langer Heinrich is the oldest floating crane in the world has maintained its original characteristics and is still operational.
